Astrum Terra is a friendly collaboration of planetary scientists, geologists and computer scientists who are brought together by their love of video games. We think video games are an important part of society that provide entertainment, compelling worlds and stories. Games are also excellent educational tools and, in the future, may play an important role as scientific tools for presenting or conducting research.
I’m Craig, an avid gamer with a PhD in Planetary Science who likes thinking about the integration of science in video games. You can read a detailed description of my background here. I hope this blog will include contributions from other members of Astrum Terra, as well as members of the video game industry.
